Pan African Festival of Georgia Begun in 1997 as a one-day festival presented by the Tubman African American Museum, the annual Pan African Festival of Georgia is now a weeklong celebration of African American, African, and Caribbean cultures held every spring in Macon. Several thousand visitors from across the state converge for the final event of the festival. Known as a "Day in the Park," the event showcases African pride and accomplishment and is held in
