With hundreds of museums and galleries located across the state, Georgia has much to offer in the realm of the visual arts. Whether one's interest lies in southern art (the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta), American impressionism (the Telfair Museum of Art in Savannah), or the Italian Renaissance (the Georgia Museum of Art in Athens), the state's diverse collections hold something for everyone. The works of such luminaries as Benny Andrews, George Bellows, Lamar Dodd, Winslow Homer, Jasper Johns, Jacob Lawrence, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Pablo Picasso can be found intermingled with the many other treasures housed in the state's vast resources.
