Whiskey Jug

Whiskey jug attributed to Timmerman pottery, Lanier County, 1880s, alkaline glaze. A small south Georgia pottery center was located at Stockton in the late nineteenth century. All the state's centers produced whiskey jugs, one of their chief products, for moonshiners and licensed distillers.
