Jordan made as many as 1,000 color pencil drawings in the 1950s and early 1960s, after reportedly losing his sight. The artist had a specially constructed pencil holder and used memorized colors to fill in indentations he made with pencil on paper. Jordan's landscapes, still-life subjects, and abstracts were exhibited at his own gallery in downtown Savannah.
