TheThe New Georgia Encyclopedia Companion to Georgia Literature New Georgia Encyclopedia is pleased to announce the publication of The New Georgia Encyclopedia Companion to Georgia Literature, a print anthology of articles originally published online by the NGE. The volume contains biographical profiles of Georgia writers, both historical and contemporary, as well as critical discussions of works and organizations integral to the literary history and culture of the state. Published by the University of Georgia Press, with funding from the Watson-Brown Foundation, the Companion to Georgia Literature represents the first in a new series drawn from articles written for the NGE. The collection was compiled and edited by Hugh Ruppersburg, a professor of English and Senior Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of Georgia, and the editor of the NGE's literature section.
